The Chamber Music Society of Louisville was founded in 1938 and will enter its 84th season in the fall of 2022. Our primary purpose is to present concerts featuring world class artists in exceptional performances of both well-seasoned and cutting-edge chamber music works.
Our 2022/23 season includes concerts by:
- Takács String Quartet (Sunday, October 23, 2022)
- Curtis On Tour: Eric Owens and Singers from Curtis Opera Theatre (Sunday, November 20, 2022)
- Merz Trio (Sunday, March 19, 2022)
- Dover Quartet (Sunday, April 15, 2023)
Each concert is held on a Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the acoustically acclaimed Comstock Hall at the University of Louisville School of Music.
Subscriptions for regular season tickets are $140, senior season tickets are $125, and student season tickets are $15. Single tickets are $40 ($35 for seniors & $5 for students). Pre-concert talks take place before each performance in Classroom 130 at the School of Music building at 2:00 p.m.
The School of Music building is best accessed from Cardinal Boulevard by turning South onto 1st Street, also known as the North Entrance to the UofL campus. Free parking is located immediately to the West of the School of Music building. Additional free parking is located in the UofL Visitor’s Lot located South of the School of Music building, the lot adjacent to the Alumni Club and across Cardinal Boulevard at duPont Manual High School’s parking lot.
The Chamber Music Society of Louisville is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and operates with the support of its longtime partner, the University of Louisville School of Music. The organization’s 990 report can be provided upon request.
